Weld Test Prep

Confirm the base metal, test position, and required filler metal prior to arrival for the weld test. Sometimes these details are presented incorrectly by people unfamiliar with the industry. This is IMPORTANT!

Ask the person facilitating the test whether they have any specific preferences or requirements before starting. Example: Two bead cap, three bead cap? Open Stringer or back grind? Would you like to see my root pass/stringer before I continue? 

Run a practice test before testing for the job if possible. STS provides training and test prep on site!
